Sprucemont Ghost Town
Elko County, Nevada
Spruce Mount is about 7 miles out on a dirt road,
east of Highway 93,
south of Wells.
This mining camp was lively around 1869 - 1872, reaching a population of 200.
There was a revival in the early 1930's.

At first sight, this looked like a collapsed building,
but it is actually the roof over a small reservoir, still full of water.
The rock walls in the hillside indicate that this was a mill site.
